For more than 60 years, the creations of Jim Henson continue to entertain and entrance fans of all ages.  What is it about those Muppets and Monsters that have such staying power?  Why does "Rainbow Connection" still bring a tear to our eyes?  And what makes us respond to every "Mahna Mahna" with a “Do doo do do doo”?

On Saturday, May 30 at 4:00 pm, Joe Hennes, Editor-in-Chief of ToughPigs.com, the premier fan site for adult fans of Jim Henson and The Muppets, will talk about the life and legacy of visionary Jim Henson and what makes Henson’s creations so beloved to the inner child of us all.

This program is about 2 hours long and aimed at adult fans of the Muppets – but it’s kid-friendly, too.

In late 2024, the gang at ToughPigs teamed up with the folks at Fathom Events for an epic celebration of The Muppet Movie in honor of its 45th anniversary. Fathom did the heavy lifting by bringing the classic Muppet film back into theaters across the country for two days. ToughPigs had the exciting honor of introducing the movie with a little pre-show entertainment.

Although the Fathom Events screening of The Muppet Movie aired in hundreds of theaters to thousands of audience members across the country, not everyone made it to the theater to see the film. So they’re proud to share what you would’ve seen if you’d been able to revisit the movie on the big screen.
