Internationally acclaimed Cuban-American pianist and composer MARTIN BEJERANO presents the follow up to his Latin GRAMMY-nominated album #CubanAmerican. Bejerano, a veteran of bands such as Roy Haynes Fountain of Youth, Russell Malone, Dafnis Prieto, Ignacio Berroa, and Jonathan Kreisberg, utilizes genre bending explorations of rhythm and sound to fuse a wide range of musical influences including jazz, rock, funk, classical, and Afro-Cuban, creating a distinctive, personal, and high-octane sound. The band features Martin’s long time trio bandmates and world-class musicians; GRAMMY-nominated Edward Perez on bass, Ludwig Afonso on drums, and special guest Samuel Torres on percussion. This show will feature the world premiere of Bejerano’s Chamber Music America 2024 “New Jazz Works” commissioned suite, Adventures del Pinareño, a tribute to his father, along with a set of brand new music to be featured on their next release, #CubanAmerican Vol. II.
