Stoney Ellis is a native Washingtonian who began singing in high school as a gospel singer with a burning desire to sing Soul and R&B Music to the World! Stoney has a true passion of performing live to mesmerize the audience with his soultry sounds that soothes your heart and soul. Stoney has performed with Take 6, Johnny Mathias, Aretha Franklin, and the Winans. Stoney Ellis has sung background vocals for Will Downing, Eric Benet, Patti Austin, George Duke, Gerald Albright and Laila Hathaway. Stoney was inspired to work on his vocal talent by his Uncle George Spann of the “Dynamic Superiors” who pushed Stoney to work hard at his singing talents to reach a higher standard! A higher standard indeed is what Stoney Ellis brought in his debut CD recording entitled, “LOVE CHANGES”. A combination of smooth sultry vocals with heartfelt lyrics.
