Originally from Miami, Claudio Silva is an award-winning, Baltimore-based drummer and composer whose artistry bridges Dominican, Brazilian, and American musical traditions. He attended the Peabody Institute and has quickly emerged as a standout voice in the region’s music scene. Claudio has received honors from the YoungArts Foundation, Herbie Hancock Institute, and DownBeat Magazine, recognizing his exceptional talent and promise as a young artist. He has performed with acclaimed musicians including Sean Jones and Warren Wolf, and was recognized by the Baltimore Jazz Alliance for his contributions to the local music community. His work is marked by deep musicality, rhythmic sensitivity, and a commitment to community-driven artistry. Claudio Silva represents a new generation of artists carrying music forward with purpose and heart.

Nicolaus Gelin is a multidisciplinary artist from Miami, now based in New York City, whose work spans music, visual art, and film photography. A jazz trumpeter and composer, his national recognitions include the YoungArts Jazz Trumpet Award, a Phil Knight Award for film scoring, and selection for Carnegie Hall’s NYO Jazz 2020 Big Band. A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, he studied under Ingrid Jensen and Jon Faddis. His genre-blending artistry—featured on Kabelo Mokhatla’s The Key to Authenticity—moves fluidly through jazz, funk, pop, and experimental music. Since 2022, he has cultivated a refined practice in black-and-white film photography, and in 2023 co-founded RESONANCE, a wellness-focused music collective combining sound meditation with immersive performance.

Will (Hazel) Hazlehurst is a bass player, educator and musician who currently lives in Baltimore, MD. He has toured with numerous local and internationally recognized jazz ensembles, and has had the fortune to play with notable figures such as Sean Jones, Wycliffe Gordon, Pharez Whitted, John Faddis, Christian Scott, Kurt Elling, Warren Wolf, Tim Green, Joe Farsnworth, Mark Whitfield Sr, Orrin Evans and Julius Rodriguez.

Born in Baltimore, Troy Long got his start in music with the Baltimore School for the Arts' TWIGS program, where he studied saxophone with the late Dominic Selvi. He then transitioned to their high school, where he continued to study classical and jazz genres. After high school, Troy discovered his love for piano and began to teach himself to play while studying jazz saxophone at the Peabody Institute. Two years into his studies, he switched to studying jazz piano. He has studied with Tim Green, Gary Thomas, Tim Murphy, Alexander Brown, and Nasar Abadey. Troy has performed with musicians and artists that span most musical genres and has made it his mission to express the universality of music through his playing and artistry. Most recently, he was featured as a pianist, keyboardist, and composer on newly signed Blue Note Artist Brandon Woody’s debut album, For the Love it All.
