David Dean Bottrell

“Hysterical… Bottrell’s acerbic, well-structured writing reminds me a little of David Sedaris’... Although his comedy is self-deprecating, it is equally other-deprecating, giving it a nice edge…Bottrell’s take on the human condition is deeply consoling.”

“WHAT A BRILLIANT SHOW!  So funny and insightful, and skillfully and delightfully performed. Fantastic!  Go see this show!"

Veteran Actor-Comedian David Dean Bottrell (Modern Family, Boston Legal) returns to the Triad stage with the 10th Anniversary edition of his acclaimed storytelling show that the Los Angeles Times called “Hysterical” and SoCal Public Radio deemed “Hilarious and touching…A tour de force!”  Don’t miss this fast-moving evening of totally true “love stories” including tales of bad choices, worse choices, and other things he probably shouldn’t be talking about.  DAVID DEAN BOTTRELL MAKES LOVE: A ONE-MAN SHOW has previously played to sold-out crowds at the Triad, Dixon Place, Comedy Central Stage and the Acme Comedy Theatre in Los Angeles.  On TV, David has played various killers and nutjobs on shows like The Blacklist, FBI: Most Wanted, Law & Order: SVU, Rectify, Criminal Minds, NCIS, Mad Men, True Blood, Justified, Ugly Betty and iCarly to name just a few.
