Echoes of the Eighties: The Diva Edition International recording soul artist Deborah returns for her 2nd installment of her curated series “Echoes of the Eighties” presenting her favorite songs of the decade from her favorite female artists. After 2 sold out shows from her debut installment Deborah and her band plan to take Blues Alley into a fun and dynamic journey in time full of powerful performances and classic songs.

Launching from her longtime home-base of Washington, D.C. and taking flight to the rest of the world, Debórah Bond has become an integral part of the fabric of the worldwide indie-soul scene.

Debórah grew up absorbing the golden age sounds of the 70s and 80s soul music that bellowed through her childhood home in New Haven, CT. Artistically, she stands at the intersection of Anita Baker, Sade and Chaka Khan, though she also credits Luther Vandross, Whitney Houston and Stevie Wonder (among many others) for inspiring her to pursue a career as a recording artist.

Her debut album DayAfter (2003) started her solo career and was followed up by her critically acclaimed album Madam Palindrome (2011). She has since released 2 remix albums along with her newest album compass: I (2021).

Deborah takes immense pride in crafting melodies that transcend time, drawing from the canvas of her personal journey. Her songs, rich with honesty and maturity, serve as mirrors to life's intricacies, reaching deep into the spirits of her listeners. With a gift for weaving her own experiences into universally resonant narratives, her music stands as a testament to relatability, timelessness, and thought-provoking introspection.

In addition to her rich and intricate music Deborah is known and respected for her velvety voice and a dynamic emotional stage performance and showmanship.
