IU Jazz Faculty Band

The Jazz Studies faculty at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University is a group of nationally and internationally recognized musicians based in Bloomington, Indiana. Individually, they have participated in numerous Grammy-nominated and Grammy-winning albums and have performed or recorded with jazz icons such as Dr. Lonnie Smith, the Count Basie Orchestra, Benny Golson, Chris Potter, and Kurt Rosenwinkel among others. In addition, they have worked with artists such as Santana, Earth Wind and Fire, Kirk Franklin, John Legend, Lupe Fiasco and more. Their solo albums have garnered praise from the New York Times, Downbeat Magazine, JazzTimes and others, and members of the group have been selected to Downbeat’s Critics Poll on several occasions.

The group will be debuting brand new original compositions and arrangements by members of the group.
