Janeane Garofalo & Phoebe Robinson

Prepare for an unforgettable evening at The Triad Theater as two generations of comedy brilliance share the stage for a one-night-only event. This show brings together the legendary Janeane Garofalo and the powerhouse Phoebe Robinson for a night of sharp wit, cultural critique, and unfiltered storytelling.

About the Performers

Janeane Garofalo A true icon of the alternative comedy scene, Janeane Garofalo has been a defining voice in humor since the early 90s. Known for her deadpan delivery and cynical, self-deprecating style, Garofalo rose to fame with legendary roles in The Ben Stiller ShowThe Larry Sanders Show, and Saturday Night Live. She became the face of a generation in cult classics like Reality Bites and Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, and lent her unmistakable voice to Pixar’s Ratatouille.

On stage, Janeane is famous for her "notebook" style—eschewing traditional setup-punchline structures in favor of a conversational, stream-of-consciousness "filibuster" that feels both deeply personal and hilariously relatable.

Phoebe Robinson Phoebe Robinson is a multi-hyphenate force who has taken the modern comedy world by storm. Best known as the co-creator and co-star of the hit podcast and HBO series 2 Dope Queens, Phoebe has built a career on being "relatable AF." She is a New York Times bestselling author of essay collections like You Can’t Touch My Hair and Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay, the latter of which she adapted into a series for Freeform.

Her comedy blends pop culture obsession with poignant observations on race, gender, and the "millennial hustle." Fresh off her latest special, I Don’t Wanna Work Anymore, Phoebe continues to be one of the most influential and hardworking voices in the industry today.
