Tedd Baker was formerly the lead tenor saxophonist with the USAF Airmen of Note (the premier jazz ensemble of the U.S. Air Force) from 2016 to 2025, and an educator at the Peabody Institute jazz department.
Tedd is known for a big, muscular hard-bop tone and fluid, emotive improvisations. He has performed and recorded alongside jazz legends and artists such as Ron Carter, Pat Martino, Arturo Sandoval, Eddie Palmieri, David Sanborn, and Terell Stafford.
Releases include albums like Mugshots and Duos Volume 1, alongside group projects like the DAT Organ Trio (with Allyn Johnson) and various Washington, D.C. jazz club residencies (such as at Blues Alley, Café Nema, and Local 16)
