Founded in 1987 by saxophonist Roy Nathanson and the late trombonist Curtis Fowlkes, the Jazz Passengers are renowned for injecting humor and entertainment into modern jazz. Using their virtuoso musicianship, they blend post bop, dance rhythms and original tunes with wild, madcap stories.
New York Magazine praised their “gorgeously cinematic music that somehow manages to orbit both Sun Ra and the Marx Brothers.” Often featuring special guests, great slide trumpeter Steven Bernstein joins the fun.
