David P Stevens is a multi-talented; guitarist, vocalist, composer, producer, and performer who has certainly made his mark in contemporary jazz and adult contemporary R&B.
David’s high energy, funky grooves and smooth vocals have played a significant role in his great success, earning him multiple occurrences on the various Smooth Jazz Charts. David’s 2023 single “Everybody Groove”, not only was placed in heavy rotation on Sirius XM Watercolors, but it rose to #2 on Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Chart.
In the same year, David’s song “After Party” reached #6 on the Billboard Smooth Jazz Chart and landed David the 14th position on Billboard Chart for Artist of The Year. In addition to his radio success, David’s fan base has grown exponentially as his music streams continue to rise throughout the world. As a result of his streaming success, his single “2Nite” featuring Carol Riddick, broke 1 million streams on Spotify and over 1.7 million overall streams on Apple Music.
David is also known for composing and producing songs for iconic jazz, R&B and Gospel artists to include Anthony Hamilton, LaToya London, Will Downing, Maysa Leak and Mitchell Jones of Commissioned. David also produces for several up-and-coming artists such as Erin Stevenson, Selina Albright, and many other newer artists with many of them enjoying charting success as well.
David’s live performances deliver an electrifying, high-energy blend of original contemporary jazz songs pulled from his nine-album catalog, along with his twist on a number of R&B classics, all of which leave the audience wanting for more.
David has also shared the stage with many of today’s top contemporary jazz artists such as Gerald Albright, Nick Colionne, Najee, Alex Bugnon, Frank McComb, and Norman Brown to name a few.
Today, David continues to perform at prominent jazz festivals and venues around the country, and you can expect the same dynamic genre bending performances that David has become famous for, but also a new, polished, and focused direction that has come with experience and maturity.
