The Washington Master Chorale opens its 10th season as a performing ensemble in the historic Church of the Epiphany with a rich program of acappella concert spirituals, choral art songs, and well-crafted arrangements of early American folk songs and hymns. The concert will feature works by Aaron Copland, Samuel Barber, Stephen Chatman, Moses Hogan, Kirke Mechem, Alice Parker, Stephen Paulus, and others. A highlight of the concert will be the world premiere of a new choral cycle by composer Henry Dehlinger based on the poetry of Irish poet James Joyce (1882-1941).
