Pianist Agustin Muriago has performed throughout the United States, Spain, China, Austria, Italy, Brazil, and his native Argentina, in venues such as the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, the Chicago Cultural Center, The Kennedy Center, and Lincoln Center in New York City. His repertoire ranges from standard piano works to contemporary music premieres, with an emphasis on Spanish and Latin-American music. He has recorded for Acte Préalable, Radium Recordings, Albany Records, and for NPR affiliates. 

Muriago has presented recitals featuring Latin-American music for the “Argentina Festival” in Hong Kong, the Latin American Cultural Week in New York City, the Sonus International Music Festival, for the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Concert series, for the Latin American Music Center in Washington, D.C., and at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music.

He has offered recitals, lectures, and master classes at NYU Shanghai, the Catholic University of America, the University of Chile, Emporia State University, the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil, the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School in Beijing, for the International Music Festival at Kansas Wesleyan University, and at the Encontro Internacional Sobre Pedagogia do Piano in Brazil. He adjudicated the MTNA Young Artist Competition and piano competitions in Texas, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Connecticut, and New York.

In Argentina, Muriago earned degrees in piano performance, piano pedagogy, and composition. As a prizewinner of the 2008 “Teachers del Norte-Pianists del Sur” auditions under the direction of Mirian Conti, he continued his studies in the United States, earning degrees in piano performance from The Hartt School (DMA), New York University (MM), and Rowan University (BM summa cum laude).

His major teachers include José Ramón Méndez, Luiz de Moura Castro, David Westfall, Veda Zuponcic, Aldo Antognazzi, and Marcela Fiorillo, having also received advice from Lilya Zilberstein, Frederic Chiu, Julian Martin, Solomon Mikowsky, Douglas Humpherys, and Seymour Bernstein. Muriago is Assistant Professor of Keyboard Skills at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Prior to his appointment at Peabody, he served on the piano faculty at Kansas State University, coordinating the Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy degree and teaching group and private lessons. He has also held teaching positions at The Hartt School Community Division and New York University.
