Join Louise Rogers and friends for an interactive performance incorporating music, dance, and storytelling, for children ages 2 – 6 and their families.
Louise has been a teacher and Music Specialist at the Medical Center Nursery School since 1999, where she has produced a two-week jazz festival - bringing NYC jazz musicians to the school for live performances – since 2008. She was named a 2021 “Jazz Hero” by the Jazz Journalists Association for her years of work promoting jazz in Washington Heights.
Jazz critic and historian Nat Hentoff praised Louise as “the most joyously encouraging way of expanding the audience for jazz”. Louise is a published author with Alfred Publishing: Jazzy Fairy Tales Vols I & II; Jazz Mosaic; Together We Can Improvise Vols I & II.
