“I love to see a 30 year-old guitarist knock my socks off!” — Steve Howe

"Leaving my family, my friends, my teacher and all the people I love hasn't been easy. Playing is all I have been always dreaming about. And deciding is already half of the dream." Flavio Sala moved to Baltimore in 2014, after quitting his job as a guitar teacher in a conservatory in Italy, to expand his career and follow his dreams.

"Mi Guitarra y Mis Amores" is his 9th album. Featuring several international artists, such as Steve Howe, rock guitarist for YES and ASIA, Rafael "El Pollo" Brito, multitalented singer and showman from Venezuela, Fabrizio Bosso, the best jazz trumpet player from Italy, Cesar Orozco, amazing Latin jazz pianist from Cuba and Antonio Serrano, wonderful harmonica player from Spain. And with Euro Zambrano, from Venezuela, at percussions and the Number 1 cajon player from Spain, Israel Suarez "El Piraña". "Sixteen beautiful tracks by some of my favorite musical heroes of my childhood, without whom I wouldn't be the musician I am".

Classical trained, graduated with full marks and a honorary mention, won several international prizes, a discography of nine albums, a very high technique level, with the most important classical guitar repertoire (almost 300 pieces) in his hands, played, recorded and collaborated with prestigious orchestras, musicians and artists from Classical, Flamenco, Latin, Jazz, Rock and Pop. What is that really makes the difference and stands him out? Flavio Sala is capable to move people literally to tears and it happens all the time. And while you experience an hysterical joy, the emotion comes to surprise you again and again. "He seems to be making love with the guitar" is the recurring phrase...

Introverted personality, shy look, of few words, Flavio Sala keeps following his personal vision of being an artist that captivates all kinds of audiences: no matter if he plays Bach or Santana or if he sings a romantic song, Flavio loves surprising his crowd and you never know what could happen during his show. "You never imagine a guitar could have such a passionate soul until you hear Flavio's," as numerous fans around the world have said.

Flavio Sala plays classical and flamenco guitars made by the Italian luthier Camillo Perrella.
