All of the world’s wine falls into 3 categories; still, sparkling and fortified. While the large majority of the wine we are familiar with and consume are still and sparkling, fortified wines are amazingly memorable and enjoyable in the ideal setting. In this webinar, we will explore the three types of fortified wines; Port, Sherry and Madeira. All three have many different styles and food pairing possibilities. For Port, we will specifically identify the difference between wood aged and bottle aged ports and where the best values are. With Sherry, there is an impression that they are only sweet, but we will feature beautiful, dry, and savory aperitif-style sherry that will change the way you start your evening’s wine enjoyment. While Madeira is often thought of as a cooking wine, we will feature a Madeira that will open your eyes wide open to the various ways and occasions to enjoy them.
