Veronneau

VERONNEAU "Blue Tapestry" album release. Celebrating Joni Mitchell & Carole King. Award-winning band Veronneau perform the music of two iconic women, from the iconic albums - Joni Mitchell's "Blue" & Carole King's "Tapestry". In songs and stories, Veronneau brings to life the music of these celebrated and beloved artists, which launched the singer-songwriter era of the 1970's and put women center-stage as composers and performers. Unforgettable songs, beautifully interpreted; songs which are part of America's musical DNA, such as "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow", "I Feel the Earth Move Under My Feet", "River", "Carey", "You've Got A Friend". Lynn Veronneau and Ken Avis will be joined by Karine Chapdelaine (upright bass), Manny Arciniega (percussion), and special guest Dave Kline (violin) for this special "Blue Tapestry" album release, celebration show.

Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau & British guitarist Ken Avis lead the band Veronneau, performing a multilingual mix of original and classic songs, infusing jazz, folk, world music and pop. Veronneau have seven Washington Area Music Awards to their name for Best Vocals, Best Band, and Best Recording in multiple genres. Veronneau's five album releases have made their mark on the US music charts, rising to Top 10 in the jazz and world music album charts, and include live albums which showcase their engaging performances, as well as studio albums. Their music streams online, where their version of "La Mer" has racked up over a million streams on Spotify. DC area venues like The Kennedy Center, Strathmore, DC Jazz Festival have hosted Veronneau and they are regular performers at DC's legendary Blues Alley. In 2024 they toured in Portugal, Spain, France and Switzerland, and 2025 will see them touring in the US, Canada, Sweden and UK. They have performed alongside such artists as Supertramp, Gregory Porter, and Samara Joy. Fun fact, Lynn Veronneau is featured with her band Les Horribles Cernettes on the first photo ever to appear on the World Wide Web!
