Formed in 2021, the Hannah Marks Quartet unites four cutting-edge NYC jazz musicians who have performed at top venues nationwide. Led by bassist and composer Hannah Marks—praised for her fresh, modern approach as a sought-after side-woman with Dee Dee Bridgewater and Miles Okazaki—the group draws inspiration from ensembles like the Branford Marsalis Quartet and Jason Moran’s Bandwagon, bringing flexibility, shared rhythmic language, and bold improvisation to a repertoire of originals and select covers. Their next album, Feed the Fire, produced by Jason Moran and slated for release on Endectomorph in June 2026, will showcase this dynamic interplay and adventurous sound.
