George Benson began his professional career at the age of 21 as a jazz guitarist. A former child prodigy, Benson first came to prominence in the 1960s, playing soul jazz with Jack McDuff and others. He then launched a successful solo career, alternating between jazz, pop, R&B singing, and scat singing. His album Breezin' was certified triple-platinum, hitting no. 1 on the Billboard album chart in 1976. His concerts were well attended through the 1980s, and he still has a large following. Benson has been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hubb's Groove is a mIx of Soul, Jazz, R&B and a splash of Gospel. It's a smooth but yet high energy band that believes whats played from the heart, reaches the heart.
The band was founded In 1996 by Robert Hubbard in Cleveland Ohio under the name "Moments Notice". In 2006 Robert changed the name to "Hubb'S Groove". The band has shared the stage with Kirk Whalum, Jonathan Butler, Earth Wind & Fire, Wayman Tisdale and Pieces of a Dream.
Hubb's Groove has performed with Angela Bofill, Marcus Johnson, Alex Bugnon, Mike Phillips and Sean Jones to name a few.
When the group is not on tour together, they are working with other artists such as Babyface, Toni Braxton, Gerald Albright and Pieces of a Dream.
Music has been an integral part of Dan Wilson's life since his beginnings in gospel music. Upon hearing a Wes Montgomery record in a relative's basement, Dan decided to pursue a career as a musician.
His debut album, To Whom It May Concern was released in 2012. His most recent album, Balancing Act was recorded live in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
Dan has been touring nationally and internationally with three-time Grammy nominated jazz organ legend, Joey DeFrancesco. Dan's composition, "Who Shot John" was featured on Joey's 2015 release, "Trip Mode." Dan can also be heard on Van Morrison's "You're Driving Me Crazy," and "The Prophet Speaks." In April of 2017, Dan joined legendary bassist Christian Mcbride's "Tip City." In June of 2019, Dan recorded an album for Mack Avenue Records entitled "Vessels of Wood and Earth," which featured Jeff "Tain" Watts, Christian Sands, Marco Panascia, and Joy Brown. The album is to be released during the fall of 2019.
Dan received his Bachelor's Degree in Music & Liberal Studies from Hiram College in 2006. His passion for Brazilian music led him to the city of Rio De Janeiro in 2007 to conduct research for his Masters Thesis which he defended successfully at Youngstown State University in 2009.
