When Doc Scantlin and his Imperial Palms Orchestra step to the stage, the audience is transported to the high life immortalized by F. Scott Fitzgerald in the Great Gatsby. Shake over ice, add a twist of jazz and you get Scantlin’s loving homage to the music of the era with the group bringing down the house when everything old becomes new again. The 18- piece ensemble swings with manic abandon through the early Great American Songbook, infusing standards with new energy. The Washington Post Say, “Scantlin is the consummate showman.”

The event features a four – course dinner, special hats, noise makers, horns, pop out streamers, and a champagne toast at midnight. The party starts at 9:00 pm., but doors open at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $150.00 per person.

Big Band leader Doc Scantlin whirls, fifteen musicians swing back and forth with their instruments, the crowd cheers.  The infectious energy dapper Doc Scantlin exudes in his white tie, tails, spats and slicked-down hair beckons you back in time. Doc's whole ensemble offers a memorable evening of musical entertainment. From the 1920's speakeasy numbers such as "Puttin' On The Ritz" and the "Charleston" through the romantic, elegant 1930's of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and the wonderful swing era of Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, etc... He has played hundreds of the biggest and best balls, special events, weddings, private parties, fund raisers and concerts, appearing throughout the U.S. and Europe.
