New for 2025 … We the unveil our MUSIC OF SERIES Our mission is to highlight some of the amazing talent in Indianapolis while paying tribute to the legendary masters that came before them.
This is a great way to support the new sounds on the scene and continue the Indianapolis Jazz legacy of years to come.
Bassist Jacob Smith brings the dynamic and cultural legacy of the Fort Apache Band live to the stage with the next installment of the Music Of Series. Started by the brothers Andy and Jerry Gonzalez, the Fort Apache Band was as much of an institution as it was an ensemble, exploring the rich connection between Afro-Cuban Music and Jazz. The Fort Apache Tradition pays homage to this legendary group as Jacob Smith takes the audience on a journey weaving traditional music from Latin America and the Caribbean with the deep tradition and legacy of Jazz.
